Putting Troops on the ground in Iraq, Syria, or any other foreign nation to fight the ISIS/ISIL terrorists group would mean United States military women and men would be directly laying their lives on the ground to engage in a war that the citizens in those and surrounding countries continue to make poor efforts to fight for themselves. This means the United States would be fighting another foreign war in another foreign land AGAIN!
The US and its coalition of 60+ countries currently engaged in trying to bring down ISIS are already supplying weapons, helping to train Syrian rebels, and doing what we can to support the people of infected regions. Simply being in or near ISIS war zones is enough to put American troops at risk. But deliberately placing troops on the ground to engage these terrorists directly places our troops in harms way. This is NOT OUR WAR and although we technically ended the Bush instigated Iraq war, we have yet to bring ALL of our troops home from that unwarranted death trap. We still have 2600 troops in Iraq training rebels in that area to fight ISIS. Now many of our “leaders”, particularly those on the right, want to send US ground soldiers into Syria to fight that country’s war. So ask yourself…..
